Hello All,

Just picked up my XR6 ute today and it is FAST...twice as many KW at the wheels as my race car (i think - will have to wait till the next NSW dyno day) :D

Bought the ute to deliver performance parts for work - iautosport.com - and also to carry race gear for - epcc.net.au.

Come from a long line of JDM FWD and Euro AWD vehicle so has been a blast being able to blip the throttle and flick the back end out any time you want - AWESOMENESS!

Look forward to catching up with fellow members at the next NSW cruise

Double the output of your race car? What kind of kw are you looking at?

Hey Striker,

The race car is an Audi A4 1.8T...last dyno was 79.3 KW at all four wheels :(

The Ford, as purchased from the Auctions, is 2 seconds quicker down the quarter...on 91 octane...and with stupid heavy 20" chrome wheels :D

It's funny as!

Working on the Audi this weekend so will see what can be achieved with some water methanol injection, a new and stupidly expensive 'fluid' harmonic balancer, plus some other tweaks.

Good luck with the work on the car mate.

My XR6 just came off the road for a weeks work. It should be a little more fun when it comes back.

Do you race midweek, or only on weekends?

Weekends and public holidays only...if i'm at the circuit / mountain / rally stage during the week it is because i'm getting out put up somewhere to help run the event.

What about yourself?

The Ford was never meant to be a race car - just the tow car - but every time i get in a part for someone else i cant help but think 'i should add one on for the Ford at the same time'.

I'll be happy to just get the Ford fixed and working properly...only a couple of days left in the log book before i can start fixing things - there is a new clunk or rattle emerging each week :(

I only dragrace, and I've raced pretty-much everything I've owned, whether it was worth racing or not.

I've just started a thread on my current car in the garage area. Hopefully I'll have some news about it late this week.

One of the plans that my local bunch of guys and I are mulling over is getting an E series, or AU, and competing in some form of circuit racing. Unfortunately, being that I work weekends, I wouldn't be able to drive, or crew for it.
